As probably many are aware, Steven Spielberg is currently filming 'War Horse' by Michael Morpurgo.

Battlefield scenes now mostly complete ( filmed on a trench system which was already in existence at an airfield (Ockenham ?) near Wisley in Surrey.

Question for any WW1 re-enactors etc....some of the shoulder titles had 'FIRM' beneath the regimental name. Anyone know what this signified ?

Talking to a guy yesterday he believed that plans are afoot to remake both 'Gallipoli' (hopefully without the blessing of Mel Gibson) and 'All Quiet on the Western Front' ditto John-Boy Walton .......

Seems all those Tommy uniforms won't be getting sold off in a hurry.....

Be interested to hear if anyone has any firm details.

Worcesters I would think - their motto is 'Firm'
