This an advert taken from a local web page, which might amuse any MLs or climbers. It might be worth mentioning we ARE close to the highest mountain in Spain. (My red/bold).

Ideal stop off to avoid altitude sickness if travelling from sea level to mountain top.

Now, from Wiki: Mulhacén, with an elevation of 3,479 metres, is the highest mountain in peninsular Spain and in all of the Iberian Peninsula. It is part of the Sierra Nevada range in the Cordillera Penibética.

Apart from ears popping, this chap is suggesting an overnighter at his gaff to avoid altitude sickness!! I would mention that the contact email did end in .ie! It takes us about 45 minutes to get almost to the top from the coast and as far as I'm aware, oxygen has never been required.
