An elderly couple were pottering about in their garden and their next door neighbour, Fred, leaned on the fence and said. "Hi Jim, haven't seen you for a while, how's it going?" Jim replied. "Not too bad, I've been going to classes to try to improve my memory." Fred asked. "Any good?" Jim said. "I think so. We are taught something called, erm, visual, erm something or other. To remember something, or some one's name, you associate it to a mental image of something that reminds you of it." Fred looked impressed. "Who is the teacher?" Jim scratched his head. "Erm..what do you call that nice flower, has a lovely scent and a prickly stem?" Fred replied. "You mean a rose?" Jim said. "That's the one, turned round and shouted to his wife. "Hey Rose, what's the name of the bloke helping with my memory?"
