Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Trip_Wire

    Trip_Wire RIP

  2. God that was painful to watch, especially when you know a couple of Snuffy's are going to have nice static-line burns. I do admire the 'creative' exit procedures; Stand in the door, fall on your a**, fall forward.
  3. So much rooms in those US planes...when you are used to jumping from C-160s, C-130s or even Casa 235, it looks very comfy....

    Is that a C-17 ?
  4. Wow! It's many many years since I jumped and that was an eyeopener! I was only parachuting for a couple of years and most of my jumps were clean fatigue anyway.

I was really surprised by how many jumpers were pretty much inverted when their chutes were being pulled out of the bags - now I understand the apocryphal tale of the chap who got his feet caught in his rigging lines and landed on his head ...

It's a crazy way to travel.
