Veterans Services Offered to the market

#1
A number of you messaged us when we first mentioned the potential outsourcing / sell off of Veterans Services as unsubstantiated as you hadn't hear of it!

Keeping to the thread of the armed forces and veterans not being told anything, did you know the MOD issued last week an invitation to negotiate to three companies, asking them to bid for the re-let of the Mil personnel and pensions contract currently held by CSC (DXC) and to take over the running of Veterans Services.

The companies asked to bid are Capita, CSC and SSCL.

Capita have just been awarded a £500m contract to run the UK Military, Fire and Rescue Services, even though the letting of the contract had the highest risk rating possible for defence.

As we progress to Armed Forces Day on the 30th June, we wanted to remind you all, the MOD is taking Veterans Services to the market, has asked the private sector to bid for those services.

We do not want to see the War Pensions Scheme and Armed Forces Compensation Scheme run on a for profit basis. We believe you would agree, if only the MOD was telling you about this outsourcing.

Our petition asking for full public consultation and full parliamentary scrutiny:

I would sign it but it only accepts uk post codes. I am in receipt of a war pension and would like to know what effect this would have on it if any for the future.

-So it's a re-bid for a process already mostly privatised and Capita are not running the UK Military - or rather weren't last time any one looked.

Are you doing anymore than just a petition? Because let’s face it, they are pretty pointless.
