The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Lance Cpl. Justin J. Swanson, 21, of Anaheim, Calif., died Nov. 10 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

10 Nov. is the birthday of the USMC.
  2. RIP Fellah :salut:
  3. RIP, Marine.

    Condolances to family and friends.

    Semper Fi.
  4. RIP, rest well.
  5. A tragic loss at any time, although I understand how the date might make it even more poignant.

RIP, and my sincere condolances to his loved ones.
  6. Rest in peace and thanks. This is really getting to be a sad chapter in both our military's histories,I can only hope that the outcome will be worth the loss.
  7. Too true, too true. If it is fated among our respective rulers at present that we pull out of Afghanistan, then let's hope they can do it as quickly as possible and not prolong the killing just for the sake of finding political cover.
  8. More sad news

My sympathies to his family, friends and comrades
