First of all, apologies for using this forum, but it would be nice if you guys could chime in.

I'm a product designer student doing a body armor as a final year project and had a experience working at an body armor firm. I'm trying to gather as much user input as possible for designing and it would be great if you guys could help.

Q1) Would you like a plate carrier design like shown below, but with
addable soft armor coverage on the body?

It is so that the user is able to adjust to threat level/mission

Q2) Would you like more hard amor coverage on chest area? (in comparison to American SAPI which has 50 degrees cut for stockweld, 9.5" wide for Medium) My concern is that it could hinder movement of arms.

Q3) I'm also considering narrowing the rear hard armor plate and making it longer vertically.

Q4) Thinking about fixed pouches for pectoral region. I have went through hundereds of soldier's armor vest setup and 90+% of them have some form of 'admin pouch' type, with holster sometimes.

Also thinking about fixed magazine puches around belly (or at the sides)

Q5) If you do like fixed pouches, what would you like?

thanks a lot
