Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Read More Military Fitness Gurus Tell Troops: You’re Too Flabby For CrossFit | Danger Room |
  2. I would be more concerned about the pizza hut's, Burger kings and Ben and Jerry's ice cream parlours that seem to follow the US Military around.

I can see how cross fit would be of benefit to the military but the P90X system seems to just be all about rippling muscles.

If you are interested in this type of training I would highly recomend Ross Enaimatt's stuff. Have a look on the forums at
I have his Never Gymless book and its brilliant for a soldier on the move with access to limited kit.
  3. The beauty of Crossfit is its ability to be scaled to ANY level of fitness. If the instructor knows what he is doing anybody will make gains and become fitter. I am an old lady at 53 and I am stronger than I ever thought i could be. Imagine what a young soldier could do!!
Why You Are Never Too Old For Crossfit!!!!!
  4. Never liked crossfit. Ever.
