Update on effect of military life on the English langauge

    The reasoning behind the choice of words is to see if words of foreign origin are in common use. Civillians have been asked to contribute as well as serving and ex-military in order to see if the words have truly entered into common use and not just with people from a military background or family.

    It is appreciated that new words are evolving all the time and that could well be the basis of further research. Once again many thanks and if anyone has a civvy friend or relation that would like to join in the feel free to e-mail me a reply to the questionaire in the other thread
