Protesting against fuel price rises by blockading the refinery gets my vote. A bit more French style militancy among the masses in UK would have capped some of the liarbour shiite we have been fed these last years.....
Got no problems with the general idea of protesting - and good luck to the Truckers in London today. I just don't like the cheese eating surrender monkeys doing it.......

The problem is though that they do a pretty good job of it.

Burning sheep? Closing down every port, blockading the capital city with muck spreaders and the like.

You have to say that they do make an impact. Maybe we should ask if they have a spare William around who could do some advisory work over your side of the channel?

So the French gov. discussing a subsidy deal with their small businesses/truckers had nothing to do with our truckers getting the idea then

The difference lies in the attitude of your British copper vs Les Flics. French coppers stood by and watched the flare lobbing, yacht ramming antics of the fisherman. In the UK they would have been nicked.

BoF,

Your'e obviously quite happy to pay £1.12 for a litre of petrol?

Take my hat off to the french fisherman for making a stand, as all the mongs in this country just seem to enjoy being bum f-cked by our commrade gordon everytime that they go to the petrol station.

The truckers protest today seems to be being 'Dummed Down' by the UK press, which to be honest isn't really a suprise in our ever increasing communist country. Freedom of speach was prety much taken away by Commrade Bliar.

Bollox to the frogs. I hope our matelots broke their line useing Nelson's tactics. Formed two squadrons, first rates in the van with the loo'ard squadron going straight for the frog flagship - Hearts of Oak belting full blast from the iPods.

Huzzah!!

I understand the need to protest, but that's a pretty bone way of doing it. I don't get it, if a couple of Frenchies are effectively holding Britons as prisoner, isn't this quite a big thing? Regardless of why they're doing it, I mean if this was done by some Muslims it would be classed as Terrorism.

Should've given the Navy something to do and blown 'em out of the water, when was the last time the Navy engaged the French anyway? It's long overdue.

Spot on. It amounted to little more than terrorism and kidnapping/illegal detention.

Send in the Navy. (with a motivational speach how we expect them to better than the Iran debacle).

These are the same people who set fire to sheep at the docks whilst Le Fuzz watched.

For Fack's Sake...where were the Jolly Jack Tars? Brown's spin guys need a bit of a telling off...

Skull and XBones...a declaration of piracy, which is illegal, inshore or not. The Royal Navy should have told the french Navy, either we sort this out, or you do...

My blood is boiling at the lack of Govt protection for seafarers, (and travellers overseas en generale), but laughing up my sleeve that the boorish Brown missed an opportunity for a bit of gunboat diplomacy which would have saved his bacon.

I'm having his bacon now, since he's obviously totally lost it. Its mine, all mine...

Sounds to me that there are quite a few on here that have been taken over by'Mongomania'. Next you'll be spouting off about never going faster than 70mph and that we should all be 'Barcoded' so that brown can track us all to make sure that we have paid our daily quota of taxes.

These so called MP's ought to start realising that they were put into Parliment by the voters in their constituencies and not by some unelected has-been in Brussels.

I'm all for 'frog-bashing', but I agree with this protest but not the way it was done.

Interesting that the husband of Mme Carla Bruni is saying he will ask the European Soviet Union if he can lower V.A.T. rates on fuel. What the f*ck for? If he wants to lower the rates then LOWER the rates.

Bollox to the unelected, unaccountable, greedy, troughing and probably dishonest gang of sh*tes in the ESU.

If Mr. Bruni gets away with it then watch 'Cyclops' follow suit and claim it was all his idea!

At what point have i actually said i'm happy paying the current price for petrol / diesel? Oh thats right, i didn't........ I was merely having a light hearted bash at the frogs. You may have noted i said good luck to the brit truckers in their protest. Back to the point that i originally made - anyone who gives the cheese eating surrender monkeys a 'V' gets a well done off me.
