Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hi all, was i was going through the process of joining up, done my BARB (got 85), got my medical forms sent off, was told that my crim record may affect my application but basically it was down to one bloke making the final decision and he turned me down :(

was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way of appealing?

my recruiter says i can re-apply in a year but it will still be down to the same bloke making the decision
  2. Go on, what did you do?
  3. convictions, ABH and drink drive
cautions, drunk disorderly and use of threatening or abusive behavour

    all over 3years old though
  4. its the ABH that has let you down i think. i did a 12 month prison sentance in 2004 and still passed. mine was criminal damage and affray. but no-one got hurt. wink wink.
  5. One on it's own could be blagged but I'm sorry to say the "mix" doesn't look good.
  6. mate i think you been done. 3 yrs old convictions are ******* lame to judge you on. the no man is a **** and enjoys playing god! if it was this year then yeah however you got your slap and so on...unless he saw one then another then another and just thought 'REALLY???'

oh well. lesson learnt ah! Don't be a ******* idiot!
  7. thats what the recruiter said
