Universal free school meals

yep, I remember (fondly) having to follow my 3 sisters in the bath on Friday night, and having to bribe the youngest thruppence not to pee in it. Good times.

Definition of a sophisticated Texan, one who gets out of the bath for a pee.

Pasta is 40 p a kilo in Tesco and that's not even the cheapest, anyone going hungry is a retard.

500g of spaghetti is 20p in Audi or Lidl, so cheap food options are out there. Most of he supermarkets do final reductions in the evening, and bargains can be had, if not glues to the widescreen TV.

I call bollocks on that, society didn’t leave them behind, the vast majority made the decision to do fack all knowing full well that we would pay for them to do fack all. Yes some are unfortunate and have been bent over but the majority happily sit there smoking 40 Berkeley Bangers every day with a couple of joints thrown in, living the life while everyone else works.
My parents did their best to provide for 3 of us on fack all, back when Soldiers pay was a hell of a lot shiter than it is now, meals occasionally being supplemented with leftover compo. When I got to 16, did I think “I’m going to sit on my arrse and do nothing while sponging of the state”? Nope, I made the conscious decision to make something of myself and have a back up plan if it goes wrong.
It was well documented at the height of the last Labour tenure, that dole scum were actively encouraging their off spring to get knocked up for a flat and free money, a la Spice Girl era. The day they gave them money is the day they fecked up. It should have stayed on LVs.

Cyclops massively ramping up single mother's allowances in the 1999 budget at the same time as he was sharply ramping up fuel prices.

The next year saw the fuel blockades over swinging taxes.

Whatever the percentage is that can be written off against tax.

He may well have creative accountants more than offsetting his possibly imaginary donations against tax.

A typical woke ..(I better not say what, being that this is CA). A publicity stunt. A safe labour seat being lined up somewhere near Liverpool?.

Good points, but he did make the UK a fortune when he sold some gold didn't he?

Oh, hang on....

I'd love to see twats like this appearing on some reality TV show where they think they'll be living on some tropical paradise off Oz.

Except it's a cunningly contrived IQ test, and salt water crocodiles are involved.

The local eye candy is imported from some original residents krall and will play a fully interactive part in the shenanigans:

" So Marcus, shag the Abo bag lady and win free school meals for Sheppey and Minster. Turn her down and Katie Price gets fed to the crocs, what's it gonna be bonny lad?"

I would be interested to know how you would enforce your theories.

A sensible, workable, acceptable answer/suggestion, would resolve most . . . if not all . . . societies' problems . . . BUT don't be then surprised when someone jumps-up and shouts "eugenics", without them realising it does NOT mean the compulsory euthanasia, killing, of the unproductive !!

Not even pikeys?

Oh, hang on....

The Gordon Brown masterstroke. If he was still Chancellor of the Exchequer he would have probably have brought it all back when it was at it's peak price a while back.

We were able to do it in the 1950s. Perhaps a monetary incentive to get neutered might be a better option.
I cannot recall any such thing happening in the 1950s. That was a time after WW2 being a period of unbridled population growth, right through to the 60s and early 70s. I understand that generation is called the baby boomers, who are this latest generation's grandparents and great-grandparents.

Both China and Singapore attempted to limit population growth by having a government policy of only one child, in both places the policy was a dismal failure.

Furthermore, India attempted to monetise sterilisation in an attempt to curb population growth, that didn't work either.

His donations will be real, but purely for tax purposes. Am sure you can donate maximum 10% of your wages as a tax deduction. Cliff Richard actually argued against giving up all his income to charity saying that he thinks that in modern (as opposed to biblical) times it isn't practical to do so, and that he gives a certain percentage of his income to charity (no doubt all as a tax deduction)

A Mencap spokeswoman said "enforced sterilisations" of people with learning disabilities had been "common practice" in the UK in the 1960s.
She said this practice, carried out in long-stay hospitals, become less common in the 1970s but cases still occurred in the 1980s.

Free school meals (breakfast “clubs” and at lunchtime), to be provided on a universal basis . . . throughout the year, including holidays – and, particularly under the present COVID circumstances - has been a recent topic of interest to the MSM ( . . . probably is still today – I just haven’t turned on the TV/radio yet !), and apparently also sufficient justification for the award of “Honours” for those advocating such a practice.

I am well aware of the “socialist” connotations associated with such a “kibbutz” type of regime.

However, it can be argued that we are - parts of the UK is - now in such a bloody awful situation, that irrespective any such “socialist” connotations, it really does require such a radical, substantial and innovative, adoption of universal free school meals (breakfast “clubs” and at lunchtime), to correct and rectify the deplorable inadequacies of “parenting skills”, that is regrettably all too prevalent . . .

- unacceptable behaviour, and lack of SELF discipline, amongst children . . . percolating upwards as they grow older – and, in turn influencing their own children - now for several generations so that it has become self-perpetuating.

- inadequate nutritional, inappropriate feeding, within a proportion of households.

The benefits from a more general, wider, adoption of universal free school meals (breakfast “clubs” and at lunchtime) . . .

+ would bring together poorly behaved children, who will hopefully be influenced by the others.

+ inculcate an expectation of regular, nutritional, meals.

+ instil an awareness of responsibility and practical skills, as the children themselves will be involved with - required to participate in - the preparation of food, and subsequent clearing away/cleaning of dishes and utensils.

+ maybe even take back home - and influence that environment - with the positive “life skills” outlined above.

Costs . . . EASY !!

Deduct from the present carefully, rigorously, costed Government benefit that is “Child Allowance”, that proportion/component that is included/intended for, the first two meals of the day.

It will be generally acknowledged, that the amount per child, within “Child Allowance” intended for the first two meals of the day, when all “pooled together”, will be more efficiently, economically and productively used, within an efficient system of bulk purchase, preparation, and production of meals.

(I feel an urge to write a letter to my MP !!)

Ask Ofgem

However, according to energy market regulator Ofgem, the average dual fuel variable tariff as of April 2019 is £104.50 per month, or £1,254 a year.

Not shockingly, this is far from being the cheapest. In fact, Ofgem found the cheapest tariff available was around £880 a year, or just £73 a month.

Meaning that @Mrsheeny's quote of 20 quid a week is doable.

Plus the army of 35 BMI lazy cretins who are now conditioned to expecting everything for nowt.
I despise them, utterly detest them. I saw 40 years of them at SWMBOs school..so..I know.
This is the only headline that newspapers need to print.
YOU'RE CHILDREN ARE GOING HUNGRY BECAUSE YOU'RE AN INADEQUATE PARENT.
The welfare system was initially set up as a safety net for people who had fallen on hard times.
Successive governments have allowed certain sections of society to believe that it is their right to live at the taxpayers expense, and to have everything provided for them, including the upkeep of their children.
This, in most cases, will result in their offspring entering adulthood with the same attitude.
The solution is not free meals.
The solution is a short, sharp parenting course, preferably run by a Social Services equivalent of a Colchester drill pig.
