A giant poppy sculpture commemorating the beginning of World War One has been stolen from a Berkshire roundabout.

The 6ft (1.8m) metal and fibre glass poppy was taken from a roundabout on Sheet Street Road between Windsor Great Park and Ascot.

It's probably been robbed by one of the career civvies whom post on ARRSE in order to be more of a rememberer at Remembrance.

Nope.

It was a member of the R Signals Army Reserve. It was the only one they could find in the correct proportions for their monstrosity of a beret come Remembrance Sunday.

94 Sig Sqn is (was) located in the vicinity and there truly were some headgear monstrosities on show at that unit.

They do however have to be commended for the level of sheer lesbian pornography that one of their subalterns and a JNCO put on for the PSIs.

Good drills.

Why would soldiers take it.
Once upon a time back when the threat was in the East many parts of the Army had a sense of humour.

This led to many unit bars and to a lesser extent NAFFI's around the vast British military estate being festooned with all sorts of low key adornments. (This was back before the time when it was chic to have an Iraqi sword or flag on the wall).

These adornments in the main were of various types of street furniture, road signs flags ect usually German but not always exclusively so.

Many also had inert ordnance amongst the loot strategically placed to impress visitors and civvies alike. I know of at least one who had a swingfire missile mounted on the wall behind the bar which may not actually have been inert. There was some rumour that although the warhead had been removed the rocket motor fuel had not.

So yes squaddies with such a sense of humour would have taken on a 'borrower' instinct from time to time.

What's a NAFFI's?

I hope it's the JNCO I'm thinking of because she had the most gargantuan tits I've ever seen

No large mammaries were hurt in the making of this pornographic film..........

Small & pert breasts only I'm afraid, however the cellulite, pasty skin and gloriously bald vaginas more than made up for this.
