Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Mr_Fingerz

    Mr_Fingerz LE Book Reviewer

  2. "During three years of study students will serve as a member of the Royal Naval Reserve or Royal Marine Reserve, Territorial Army or RAF Reserve."

If they are part of the TA while doing the course anyway then what's the point in the degree?

If they do Civvie things (medicine/engineering etc.) during the day and TA on an evening then they might as well do an basic medical/engineering degree and join the OTC as that's what it was designed for.
If (as is the other option) they do Military things during the day then why not just join the regular Army who give them all the medical/engineering skills they need to do their jobs.

What a waste of a degree...
