Unhinged Remainers - how far will they go?

There is no doubt that the prospect of a 'No Deal' Brexit is now a serious threat to the mental health of large sections of the British elite as they struggle to come to terms with the unprecedented situation of being held to their word and being unable, largely as a consequence of their own ineptitude and duplicity since the Referendum, to frustrate the will of the people.

This thread is to discuss the various manifestations of Remainer insanity, to speculate as to how far some Remainers might go and to consider the long term consequences of their rampaging monomania and fundamental contempt for democracy.

Highlights to date involve a high profile racist and sexist initiative from the Greens, an ill-advised declaration to ignore public votes by the leader of the Lib Dems and a willingness to consider putting Magic Grandpa in Number 10 on the part of Oliver Letwin, a Tory MP and an architect of the Poll Tax who has form for racism. All wonderfully barmy.

Unhampered by the lack of any legitimate mandate and having gone full on Captain Ahab, what are the possibilities as key elements of our political class and their media camp followers become increasingly unhinged? Is there a chance that Sinn Fein might possibly decide to temporarily suspend their embargo and turn up at Westminster to help out their old mate? If they did, would the Remainer camp cut cards with the devil? Where exactly is Anna Soubry on the 'Batsh1t Crazy scale?

I'll lay a cheeky tenner on an MP proposing that Greta should be caretaker PM

If Sinn Fein took there seats in parliament to vote down the government then the general election would be a landslide for boris ,

Oh there are no limits: bonkers legal challenges, caretaker Prime Ministers, etc etc.

But we mustn't forget endlessly churning out total total bullshit in the name Project Continuity Fear and pushing wholly spurious "news" into the Remainersphere.

But that's the point. In their determination to stop Brexit at any cost, die-hard Remainers aren't thinking long term and any expedient will do on the basis that they can worry about everything else later.

Would be good...there are more Aussies here in the UK and would balance out by sending Poms over there...good exchange of cultures.
Why do you put "..." after every bleedin' sentence?!

When people believe Corbyn is a price worth paying to defeat Brexit you know that they have 'jumped the shark'.. Sometimes in a bubble you don't consider how it looks to outsiders and inevitably they are getting increasingly deluded.

A second referendum/GE after a coup to remove Boris would be interesting, as I honestly can't see how that will NOT go down badly in the country. If remain lose a final battle and are betrayed by the people, then I expect them to lose the plot completely.

You would hope so - but everyone seems to have forgotten they are a bunch of murdering bastards.

Labour left + Sinn Fein + Plaid Cymru + SNP = what does this tell you are how the EU concept has debased and diluted our identity as a nation? The dilution of ideas of a society have fauelled racism, separatism,

The whole EU is based on a flawed premise- that all the ills of Europe have been due to national identity, and that slavish obedience to the idea of centralism is the answer. Countless millions who died at the hands of the Nazis or Communists suggest that is idea is dangerous nonsense.

However, this whole affair has been polarising. Being in favour of remaining in the EU did not make you a traitor, nor did favouring leaving make one a racist or anti European.

They are already going batshit crazy. Corbyn as a caretaker PM in a national unity government. Honestly, That is crackers. And I don’t think we are at one percent of the batshitness they will go to. Blood on the streets coming soon, I’m convinced of that.

It has precedent, Hitler came to power supposedly temporarily in a time of national crisis

A government of national unity, is more likely to resemble the enabling act if Corbyn became PM

...I'm ahead of all of you.
