Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. There have been a couple (not literally) of covers recently that have made me think 'mmmm...fuckin' ace!' I've posted three of them below but, in so doing, know that there are other great covers out there that haven't had mass exposure to the great unwashed (ie us).

Therefore let this be the repositry for the best covers out there. To begin with, may I present:

Biffy Clyro covering Rage Against The Machine's 'Killing In the Name Of'

A Smelly Tramp covering Radiohead's 'Creep'

    Gnarls Barkley covering Radiohead's 'Reckoner'
  2. Two David Bowie covers that are, IMHO, better than the original:-

Bruce Dickinson - All the Young Dudes
    Bauhaus - Ziggy Stardust

    Some other great covers:-

Guns 'n' Roses - Live and Let Die, Knockin' on Heaven's Door
    X - Wild Thing

    Utter tragedies:-

Rolf Harris - Stairway to Heaven
London Symphony Orchestra - Stairway to Heaven
Dolly Parton - Stairway to Heaven
    Cheryl Cole - Everybody Hurts
Some sh1te band I heard in a hotel in Bangkok - November Rain
  3. 'Stairway to Heaven' the Reggae version by Steel Pulse.

Truly memorable in that when they played it at Reading Rock in 1984 they were canned off after the first 4 bars.
  4. Land of Confusion - Disturbed
    Teenage Kicks - Public Enemy
  5. Whiskey in a jar by Metalica

  6. A M, Live and let die , Guns 'n' Roses... Your having a laugh ...
Very few covers can ever match originals let alone be better. However if i was to choose a cover then Metallica nearly done good with So What and that's about it really.

Oh and nearly forgot , i have a soft spot for R.A.M.O.N.E.S by the Ramones...
