UK solider dies in Canada crash

  1. A British soldier has been killed in an accident involving a military minibus in Canada, local police have said.
    The accident took place on the Trans-Canada Highway near the town of Bassano, about 93 miles (150 km) southeast of Calgary.

    Some 16 other soldiers suffered varying injuries after the vehicle overturned, Sgt Patrick Webb of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police told the BBC.

    The Ministry of Defence said it was looking into reports of the incident.
