UK soldiers training the Afghan Army

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. A bit of help required please guys:

Does anyone have much of an idea (or even any experience) of what the UKLTT in Kabul is up to? Beyond the fact that they're a UK Leadership Training Team, obviously! I'm considering a possible post there but can't seem to get too much info.

I understand that they are in Camp Alamo, a US base, but otherwise details are sketchy.

  2. TRM,

I had some dealings with them 2 years ago but nothing more current. They seemed to have quite a decent time in a camp just up from HQ BRITFOR. Afraid I can't give you anything more than that it seemed quite varied and interesting. Probably more interesting if you can get onto an OMLT, but in the absence of that then it might be quite fun. Once you are int theatre then you can try and get yourself somewhere more exciting.
