U.S. Senate okays bill on legal action against gas cartel

The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee passed Wednesday a bill permitting legal action against foreign states for oil and gas price fixing and other uncompetitive activities.
It's a very interesting legistaltion. Of course USA doesn't use dictate, doesn't try to establish American domination worldwide.

Recently mr.Putin in his speech dovoted to 62d the Victory day mentioned some forces that use dictate and try to establish domination. Then ms.Rice asked Russian FM whom did mr.Putin mean exatly, she was told - terrorists. Stupid girlie... Why has she asked being well aware about the answer.

An anecdote springs in mind.

Once Stalin rejected a plan of offensive operation presented by Zhukov. Zhukov leaving the Kremlin said 'whiskered arrse'. Immediately Stalin was told about it. He summoned Zhukov and asked whom did he mean exactly by saying 'whiskered arrse'? - Hitler, of coure comrade Stalin.
What, no jews in this one?

tsk, Sergey I'm very disappointed.

I'm sorry for your disappointment dear Ghost. But

One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is whether Adolf Hitler was Jewish or had ancestors who were. The idea seems to arise from the remote possibility that Hitler's grandfather was Jewish. Hitler's father, Alois, was registered as an illegitimate child with no father. Alois' mother worked in the home of a wealthy Jew and there is some chance a son in that household got the woman (i.e., Hitler's grandmother) pregnant. Adolf Hitler was not Jewish.
It is a rumour of course.

Returning to the theme, USA tries to exterd its juristiction beyond its borders. Unlikely any country would agree with it. So likely attempts to dictate and dominate would be rejected.

Btw, the bill refers not only to gas but to oil as well. Would it mean that USA plan legal actions against OPEC countries?

Out of the theme but in attempt to lift you disappointment

UK energy firm BG Group has confirmed it is in talks to agree a contract to supply Palestinian gas to Israel.

BG discovered the Gaza Marine field, which is controlled by the Palestinian Authority, off the coast of the Gaza Strip in 2000.
According to press reports, BG is hoping to sign a $4bn (£2bn) deal that would see the Palestinian Authority receive $1bn in royalties.
