Tyre pressure gauges

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. My gauge of many years has gone MIA. There seems to be rather a lot of different types out there to do this job now.

Are the digital types any good? What gauge is a accurate and relible?

    What's your experience?
  2. I just blow em up till they look right, never had any problems with uneven wear or handling problems.
  3. I have used a few, and always seem to come back to the cheapo digital types you get at any motor accessory shop or Wilkinsons.

I've checked them against garage grade, calibrated tackle and they're pretty much spot on! Bear in mind that most of us ham-fistedly lose 0.5 - 1 PSI when we try to disconnect the air line!

Unless you're competing in motorsport events, a cheapo digi one will serve you well and live in your glove box, keeping your mini maglite company on dark nights.
  4. Okedoke. Thanks.
