    Two British soldiers killed in an explosion while on foot patrol in Afghanistan have been named by the Ministry of Defence.

    Private Jonathon Young (L) and Serjeant Paul McAleese (R)
    Serjeant Paul McAleese, 29, of 2nd Battalion the Rifles, and Private Jonathon Young, 18, of The 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment (Duke of Wellington's) died in Helmand Province.
    The deaths, which take the number of UK troops killed in the conflict to 206,
    came as voters went to the polls in the country on Thursday.
    The MoD said the troops were on a routine foot patrol not connected with election
    It has emerged that Pte Young was killed in the initial explosion and Sjt McAleese, who went to help, was killed in a second blast moments later.
