I know we've had our issues with the firefighters over the strikes but I've just seen this on BBC News website:

Very sad. It brings it home to us that there really are people who lay down their lives every day in order to protect others...

And then their funding is restricted, their units are closed down and their equipment is cut back.

And I'm not just talking about the fire service.

RIP I hope your families can take a little comfort from knowing you were completely selfless to the end.
