The troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers were serving with 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards. They died in an explosion in the Garmsir district of southern Helmand. Next of kin have been informed. It follows the death on Saturday of L/Cpl Christopher Harkett, 22, who was the 150th British serviceman to be killed in Afghanistan since 2001.
