Tusk Shows His Impartiality and Diplomacy

Another economic genius who thinks you run a country like a household budget.
Oh I think they do run it like a household budget, buy everything on tick and wonder why you're mired in debt you can't afford. Maybe you don't remember but there was a time when 'Tory misrule' actaully had the UK running a budget surplus and we were reducing the national debt. Then the young and foolish voted for Tony Blair.

Do you mean that a heavily indebted state owned company whose service has taken a massive dip recently wasn't the greatest example?

Privatisation is part of free trade principles, the economic policy that works. It is anathema to the EU who run protectionism and subsidy for failure as policy. The problem of this, as the Labour party repeatedly finds when it's in government, is that eventually subsidising enough failures brings down the economy.
Privatisation and free trade are not the same thing at all. They do however tend to appeal to the same people.

Remember they have to punish us for " having the audacity for wanting to leave " Think that was a quote by Junker . Someone correct me if Im wrong .
It probably a quote from a brexiter when the wheels started falling off the brexit bus.

It’s not like Juncker and his crew need to keep the member states in an iron grip. All they have to da is look at the mess we’re making of it and decide they’re much better off in the Eu.

It’s not rocket science.

It’s not like someone’s going to come along and threaten to break their kneecaps. A massive dip recently isn’t a constant and recurring massive loss every year.
You get peaks and troughs, it’s busines.
What’d they do, buy a whole new lot of rolling stock, refurbish their stations?

So a shite example then? Billions in debt and needing to borrow more while providing a sub standard service

You’ve obviously never set foot on the hunrail system recently.
If that’s a substandard service, a lot of our companies would kill for that.
I move around Europe quite alot thanks, In the link it said punctuality wass down, however what Ive noticed is that you have forgotten to mention the debt, is it because it inconvenient?

You're right they're not, but it's hard to run state subsidised loss making industries if you don't engage in protectionism so in some way the two things are usually linked.

Network rail, publicly owned yet no one’s freaking out over the fact that it’s 30 odd billion in debt.

What’s the point?

Just to clarify you are now saying another state owned company is billions in debt so it's okay that the German state owned company is billions in debt?
The point is, that far from some great utopia of socialist type state ownership, your example was pretty shit.
