  1. Hi there,

I'm in the market for either a very small "pup" tent or a hooped bivvy bag.

It is for deer stalking use rather than military use, so it does not have to be camouflaged (in fact, I'd rather it wasn't), but an unobtrusive drab colour would be good.

The tent should be lightweight, compact, robust and easy to put up in the dark, with room for me and a rifle. The rest of my kit can stay outside.

Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

  2. something like this:

    hooped bive on ebay

search on ebay mate. you should be able to find a bag in good nick for cheap.
look at the OG british issued bivi bag in goretex too. not hooped, but are good sturdy kit that I have used in the past & are warm enough in the summer that you don't need a doss bag. should be cheap second hand too, make sure its brit isuue spec.
think they have been replaced by a DPM version now in British military use, so should be plenty of OG ones around, just look at ebay.

  3. If your going to buy a tent buy one you can sit up in so you can admin yourself otherwise just use a bivi bag.know someone who used a hooped bivi
had nothing good to say about it though.
