Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Breaking on Auntie, apologise if already posted

Tube strikes to announced on Boxing Day & two in January, looks like the bargain hunters will slug it on the Buses instead

ASLEF - Boxing Day strikes announced

  2. Twats. Why do they think this will get them anywhere. They are hardly going to get public sympathy.

  3. They're not after public sympathy, they want a push over labour gov. The union bully boys want to **** the country up as much as possible so you the voter will blame the current "posh boy" goverment. When they gey Dead Sillyband and Total Ballsup back in power they up there own pension and bugger off to spain. Just a shame they don't bugger off now and let people go shopping over the christmas break and let the common man/woman make a living.

  5. They don't want a Labour government. They love this like Stonewall love LGBT discrimination. It's the fuel that keeps them relevant and in the headlines.

Tube drivers need to get a grip, however. They're worse than the ****ing fire brigade.

  6. We all want that, If they weren't happy with their contract when they started, then they shouldn't have signed it.

  8. They are very well paid for the job they do and it would be far cheaper to automate the entire system than put up with these cretins. I'm all for unions protecting the interests of their members but certain unions, especially the RMT take the absolute piss and they know it.

  9. Nothing wrong with a decent living wage. However, 40 to 70k a year is already a decent living wage. Same rates of pay as an airline pilot. Imagine how much they'd get if they actually had to steer the thing?

  11. They actually want extra pay on Boxing Day, and for working on that day to be optional.

In addition, the starting pay is £42,424 with a generous pension and guaranteed above inflation pay rises, along with benefits like free travel.

  12. Having successfully held London by the short and curlies during the Olympics, it seems that the comrades fancy a replay at Christmas. What are they after? Five hundred quid for working the bank holidays?

Boris, if you're reading this, time to buy some of those driverless trains.
