One will surely be walking along to see the nearby statue of Britain's first lady driver ,(See how she has her left hand out as the horse turns right ) ,when bumping into lots of people.

Persons under military discipline warned not to flout military discipline.

You could have knocked me down with a feather.

You forgot the, who is convicted of murder at the end.
Yes but only on a technicality.

After all there was absolutely no evidence.

Well if you exclude his actions and admission being saved for posterity on somebodies laptop**.

... servicemen and women had been reminded ahead of the event that they may not attend political protests or rallies...
How is this a "political" event? There are no party politics involved. If someone is trying to invoke a valid prohibition by wrongly claiming this to be a political meeting when it clearly is not, then the instruction to not attend does not constitute a lawful order, and therefore carries no weight and can be ignored.

I believe that someone in the unit had child porn on their computer and therefore everyone's computer was investigated.
You could say it was bad luck that his criminal actions came to light.

If they are protesting about a lawfully held conviction for which there can be no doubt then the term mutiny comes to mind.
