Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Apologies if in wrong section, but what other tri service charities are there other than the RBL?

Are there any that are 'biased' (for want of a better word) towards the Army but still assist RM, naval and RAF personnel?

And are there any specifically set up to assist soldiers/servicemen and women and families with issues arising out of Iraq and Afghanistan)?

    Many thanks in advance.

  2. Combat Stress, www.combatstress.org.uk help ex service men and women with mental health issues caused by active service and they are indeed currently helping those with PTSD issues who have served in Iraq or Afghanistan.

As for Tri-service having a bias towards the Army, is this a wind up?
They take whoever comes to them. Yes the vast majority may be Army but that is because they were & still are the largest service.

Some other charities for ex-service are:
    http://www.blesma.org/
    http://www.st-dunstans.org.uk/

And of course Combat Stress already mentioned but remember they can only deal with ex-service.

  4. Thanks both.
