From JSP 760: "Travelling Time is designed primarily to ensure that Service personnel do not spend an inordinate amount of their leave entitlement travelling to their home address. It might be appropriate, for example, to grant Travelling Time to an individual who was serving in the South of England and whose family resided in the Outer Isles of Scotland." Does this mean that Travelling Time is for single soldiers only? What about those married personnel who are posted to the North of Scotland but have homes, and more importantly children who they are not in custody of but look after during leave periods , in the South of England? Not eligible or Chain of Command decision?
