Travel warrants

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Have had a search round, but I don't think anyone has posted this before. Am I entitled to a travel warrant for the briefing? A rail warrant won't be much use really as I don't live on the mainland, and flights are quite expensive. Would I be expected to meet the cost of a flight myself?

  2. I had to pay my own way, but that was 300yrs ago, times have changed and as a guess only, I think it would be only right and proper for them to pay, after all once you are in our clutches, you will pay!! :D
  3. IIRC guys flying from Ireland had the cost of their flights reimbursed. This was about 2 years ago.

Edited to add; why don't you just phone AOSB and ask?
  4. Will do, thanks for the replies.
