I wonder what JRM has been doing? He appears to support BoJo. Any theories anyone?
He should be able to recite Hansard, the Commons Rule Book and the Speaker's Job Description by now - anybody's guess why he might do that - perhaps the new leader of the house?

I do happen to like JRM. I believe that he is a man of principal.
Stands by for shouting from the usual suspects...

Got to be a thread coming called ‘bojo’s Cabinet’

JRM for No 11?

I find it amusing that all those who complained that Trump won the US election but didn't win the popular vote and how can that be right, now have to accept another change of PM without any sort of say in it at all.
Out of interest... if Ms Sturgeon had to stand down mid term for any reason, would the Scottish electorate choose her successor or would it be a matter entirely for the SNP? I can't remember what happened when Mr Salmond was replaced by Ms Sturgeon.

Hooray.

We're going to have yet another catastrophic PM.

Oh lucky us.
Let me see:
Liz Truss Chancellor (She'll spend it all)
JRM Leader of the House (No business as he keeps quoting the rules)
Ester Mcvey Home Secretary (Payback time)
Michael Gove Minister without portfolio (can't do any damage)
Jeremy Hunt Brexit Minister (right, you said you could get a deal......go get a f***ing deal)
Rory Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (Build bridges eh......go build some f***ing bridges)
Liam Fox Health Secretary (you are a Dr aren't you.......go make people better)
Sajid Javid Minister for community relations (come on Sajid, show us how its done lad)
Andrea Leadsom Foreign secretary (no messing)
Hammond Education (go teach kids how to count)
Hancock Education (after Hammond turns it down - Hancock just happened to be hanging around)
David Davis Work and Pensions (have one yourself Dave....)

Party membership votes for the SNP leader but if I remember correctly Sturgeon was the only candidate to stand

I think he said, 'I'm off she is in charge, good luck'

Almost. They were going to have a vote for leader but nobody else got nominated so she won by default (almost like May's election except there were some nominations but they dropped out)

Oh, I got your feeble point OK, but it's abundantly clear that you didn't get mine. That sound you're hearing is actually my point whooshing over your own head.
Nope. Sounds more like a reverse-O-cycle at full speed because you’ve realised you made a t1t of yourself.

I'm guessing they're hoping he has the attention span of a goldfish and won't remember their petty sniping and backstabbing.

This is going to be fun.
I hope he graphically & publicly tells them to get f**ked & does any future interviews etc. with alternative channels.

Unfortunately, even though he is clearly hopelessly Remain biased and has a whole litany of bullying and sexist complaints against him, Bercow is protected by the Labour party and majority remain MPs who desperately need him in place to keep undermining Brexit - BoJo wont have the power to replace him with anyone

from wiki

MPs elect the Speaker from amongst their own ranks.[8] The House must elect a Speaker at the beginning of each new parliamentary term after a general election, or after the death or resignation of the incumbent.[8] Once elected, a Speaker continues in office until the dissolution of Parliament, unless they resigns prior to this

VAR been back on again. The foul by Boris was just as the final whistle blew,in retaliation for an earlier Gove assault. origional result stands
VAR checking twice. Well that is working then.

Hopefully he'll be found to have downloaded(sic) umpteen gigabytes of dwarf porn using the HoC wifi & will be forced to resign, thus opening the position for...

No. It would be a matter for the Scottish Parliament to vote on. Nicola Sturgeon beat Ruth Davidson in that vote.

That was for leadership of the SNP, not for First Minister.

Ooops . I thought Happynomad meant if Sturgeon stood down as party leader rather than first minister

JRM will be emasculated if he’s made Speaker. He needs to be somewhere his intelligence, education and experience can do some good.
