Fife , I made them myself , used pork instead of veal ( asda pack of eight) flattened floured egged and crumbed with Paxo southern fried flavoured breadcrumbs, good for freezing , the ziguener sauce , heavy duty pan little olive oil , green and red peppers onions few cloves of garlic gently sauted then add cheap and cheerful Batts tomato ketchup (from lidl... 50ish p a bottle , don't use heinz 57 it is just wrong taste wise, smoked paprike and a few chilli flakes and generally just simmer for about 45 minutes or until the peppers are ready and the sauce is thick........ 6 green peppers 4 red , 2 onions does about four freezer bags , one for 2 schnitzels
I think they are as good as any I had in the twenty years I lived in der Vaterlad

next task is to master jaeger sauce
 
Mush_lass and her girlfriend came to stay, probably the last time I'll see them until next summer.

The bottom right serving reminds me of an old joke.

Paddy labourer sat on Underground train next to city banker who is doing the Times crossword. He is obviously stumped on a clue as he is fidgeting and looking anguished.

Paddy: "Can I help you sor"
Gent: "Don't be silly. You couldn't solve the Times crossword"
Paddy: "Well den. whats da clue"
Gent: " Ok then. the clue is "to egg on", five letters"
Paddy: "Ahh shur dat's simple sor. Toast"

He was my DCA when I arrived at Pad (A).

But he was in transit accommodation rather than a barracks block due to the number of assaults.

IIRC, one memorable statement from a MO who obviously knew him.

"The knife went in about 2inches.

But no significant injury was caused as it failed to penetrate his fat layer."
