Roast chicken. Lemon inside and on the skin. Served with potatoes I grew in the garden, new season sprouts and giblet gravy.

Curried courgette (from the neighbour’s garden), carrot and coriander soup - perfect lunch !

Recipe please?
Ingredients :-
Large knob of butter
1 onion chopped
4 cloves garlic roughly chopped
6-8 carrots chopped
Huge courgette or 3 normal size chopped
2 large potatoes chopped
1.5 Tblsp hot madras curry powder
2 veg stock ‘pots’ with 1.2l water
100ml cream
Couple of tablespoons of fresh leaf coriander
Seasoning to taste
Method :-
Fry onions for 10 minutes, add garlic for a couple of minutes, add curry powder and stir for a minute or so, add remaining veg and sweat for 5-10 minutes, add stock, simmer til veg is soft. Add coriander a couple of minutes before cooking ends. Blend and sieve, return to pan , add cream and season, re-heat to serve … I had mine sprinkled with chilli ;)

I am not a great fan of venison as I usually find the taste too gamey for me. Does the mustard sauce tone down the gamey flavour? If so recipe please.
Leave it in the fridge for a day (or two) before adding the cream, mustard and horseradish - makes all the difference to the flavours:
