For repeated abject failure I have been exiled to the nether regions of the brownosity world. Epaulettes gone, buttons ripped off and sword broken in disgrace.

I should have outsourced the whole programme to Crapita or Serco.

It would have still been an abject failure but it wouldn't matter and I would still have a job.

It's streaky bacon, but I don't cook it to death. I buy the thicker rashers and cook them on a low heat so they keep the pliable texture.

ETA If you are making savoury mince with butchers mince, blot the fat up from the surface with a slice of bread, fry it up to have with the mince.
