Tonight I cooked..........

Finished article and tomorrow’s supper. Slow cooked (3 hours) Chilli Con Carne, with @Humble Tiller minced beef, home made tomato sauce, kidney beans, onions, chillies and a miniature bar of Green and Blacks Dark Chocolate.

Any decent recipes ( as in verified by the Arrse collective ) for mulled cider ?
Have a flagon of time expired scrumpy and don't want to waste it.

If the flagon has not been broached, it should (within reason) never go off.
If you don’t want to buy a supermarket infusion bag, go for the 1970s classic: orange studded with a few cloves and throw in a cinnamon stick.
If you have a slow cooker currently not used, this is an excellent way to keep a gallon warm for your guests/the cook.

Slow casseroled skirt of beef with sun dried tomatoes, carrots, swede and parsnips. Crispy mash and sprouts to accompany.

Perfect for a grey wintry day.

Another credit to @Humble Tiller and his small herd of lovelies.

Excellent work with the solitary pea at 3 o'clock and the southern sauce stain on the rim. @supermatelot's teddies are currently undergoing pre-flight checks.

Looks delicious by the way :)

Cold tonight. So courgette and pumpkin soup. Bottle of rioja and veg-pease pate on homemade bread. Simple end of week relax.
All in front of a roaring fire and Star Trek Discovery.

Steak curtesy of @Humble Tiller and all I can say is finer steak I have not had, absolutely excellent. Thank you, Sir.

Sometimes, you just crave something simple! Butchers chipolatas (Pritchetts, Salisbury) with Farm shop white bread. Hit the spot.
