@Grownup_Rafbrat have a well done for all that time for food prep, call me cynical is that a normal evening meal or was there a special occasion?
It was a special occasion in that now and again I like to cook a 'proper' meal. It was going to be Sunday, due to blowing the Sunday Joint money on fillet steak. In a late change of plans himself's brother and sister in law came to see him, and as he hadn't seen them since March I baked them tea cakes and an apple cake, and cooked the meal yesterday.

Beans on toast tonight!

That plate...looks remarkably similar to ones used in the RN.
As noted on here previously, my missus bought a job lot of MOD plates from the ASU when we were out in Germany back in the 90’s. Something ridiculous like 50 pfennigs a plate - bargain!
