Tonight I cooked..........

Gut them, then stuff the cavity with sliced mushrooms, chopped leek & a little butter, then dribble over a little lemon juice, parcel in tinfoil & into the oven for 25-30 minutes.
Unwrap & eat off the bone with salad or new taties & french beans.

That's a lot of effort for something with little to no flavour and a fucking collection of bones that make me want to knock on the neighbour's door and punch him in the throat when he answers.

Hot wings snack yesterday. Marinated them in Nando's Extra Hot Peri Peri Sauce and groung garlic for a few hours then roasted. They were pretty tongue burning hot, but tasty.

Won't f*cking bother again.

Tonight was seared lamb chops with reduction and marrow with bechamel sauce. I know some don't care for marrow, but I like it very much when new season.

Know what you mean..... I've tried piri piri a few times, but it gives me shocking heartburn.

Try Dunn's River Jerk Marinade, got mine from Tesco..... £2 a jar, but very economical, just a VERY thin smear, it's strong stuff.

Having some on belly pork slices tonight...... good old Lidl 30% off offers.

Got 3 trays of belly, a big tray of pork shoulder steaks, 2 chicken breasts, 5 chicken legs with thighs.

Should have been £18, got them for £12

I stuff marrow with what is more or less a bolognese sauce mix topped with strong cheddar & it works very well - low in carbs too.

As for tonight's fare; 'twas reheated haggis & mash from the night before last (chilled & reheated spuds = 50% less digestible carbs) with steamed carrots & french beans.
Washed down with a bottle of 2016 Sauvignon Blanc from NZ.

Odders old bean.

Whenever I do haggis I always do mashed spud and cubed swede with onion gravy. I always make shedloads more than two people can eat.

The following day I make my “Crofters Pie”. Mash up the spud and swede, add butter. Mix up the haggis and onion gravy, place in dish, cover with swede/spud as with cottage pie. Dot butter on top and bung in oven until heated through.

Serve with any availabie veg. I like sweetheart cabbage (to mix up the Paddy and Jock origins).

Lush.

I love stuffed marrow. Mince, onions, celery fried up. Season. Add parsley.

Chop marrow into thick rings, disembowel the pippy bits and things. Boil for a few minutes. Place on baking tray, fill with mince/veg mixture and bung in oven for thirty minutes.

You can put breadcrumbs or cheese or a mixture of both on top.

Mexican seafood stew. Lots of guajillo chilis, prawns, squid & crab meat. Served with salsas of jalapeño, onion, lime juice & salt & coriander & choppped spring onion.

I've been in a health food shop today, i was scared, I don't recognise any of the rations in there, it smelt funny, and there were lesbians roaming around, not the good Pornhub type ones but the hairy armpits, sensible shoes ones.

I may have been panicked into buying some tofu.

The horror.

The horror.

I used to go into health food shops to buy Vitamin D3 until I whinged at my rheumatologist and he gave me a prescription for proper pharmaceutical grade D3. They always seemed to smell of plastic for some strange reason. Surely that can’t be very healthy?
