We were recently approached by Tommies Guides to review some of their books. This is a publisher who specialises in reprinted books or books written about WW1 & WW2.

The first couple of reviews are on the site Letters Home 1914-1919 and Men, Horses, Mud and Stew. Over the next few weeks I will be putting up another 14 or 15 reviews from this publisher for you to read and hopefully you will pick up something that interest you. If all goes well there will be more reviews to come in 2011.

Each of the books has a donation of £1 to RBL included in the price. We are very pleased to work with Tommies Guides reviewing books on subjects of great interest to Arrse readers - I hope you enjoy the reviews.

Tommies Guides can be found here.

I'm about half way through" Farewell Raj" and I amazed, now I have seen the films Bowani junction and Ghandi, and have visited India a number of times but I had no Idea that as many as 1.5 million people were killed during the partition. I read Mountbattens book and even he kept this hushed up, Farewell Raj is really good
