Tiffy Pay

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hearing lots of noises about tiffy pay , but the clerks no nothing.

Anyone know how to find out who qualifies!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. look on the REME forum, there is lots of talk about it in there.
  3. There is nothing to do if you are promoted from sgt - ssgt without a move between ranges ie you were a Higher Band Sgt promoted to a Higher Band SSgt then the only rule to be applied is that you must receive at least 2% pay rise.

A lot of tiffys received back pay because they went from lower - higher which meant that the new rule of level - level was reapplied and they received back pay. Under P2k you cannot compare salaries as everyones is different.
  4. The point maybe , some shouldn't have gone from lower to higher on promotion to ssgt, as they wouldn't have been entitled to be promoted if they hadn't passed the Tiffy course.
