This years holiday.

still watching with interest the outcome of the eruption on La Palma , as to whether we will be allowed to go to Lanzo in December but it will be probably still happening

I have decided that I am probably going to drive down to Albufiera in the camper myself mid to late January, she wants to leave it until early February , but if it gets freezing cold this winter I am off to warmer climes she will take a plane down when I get it all set up and settled in (which would actually suit me much better)

Think she may be feeling like a RAF navigator .......... being replaced by a more reliable electric box to give the directions, and she isn't happy....but hey ho , if she wants to stay in the cold that's up to her only set back will be a probably a week less in Holland in May and June also think she probably feels a bit left out and if it is successful then I will maybe do the camino, or a couple of parts of it on my own at some time in the near future

Re Lanzarote, no change to my last.

I was checking something out on FlightRadar last night and the Canaries looked busy including U.K. flights.

Got the green light for a trip to some where of the beaten path from the wife, she does not fancy something a bit more exotic. First thoughts were Iran, however even though companies do arrange this the F&C say don't travel there at present and I promised nothing to adventurous that will cause her sleepless nights like in the past.

So thinking Georgia, Armenia, this will be with a tour group, any done this part of the world in the past?

My son’s looking to go to Chernobyl. Apparently there are tours available.

Just finishing a week in Alvor on the Algarve. The only testing requirement is a day 2 on return which we found online for £28. Lovely weather nice people. Masks in supermarket and taxis but other than that no drama. Highly recommended.

Im in Prague at the moment, its 22 degrees tomorrow, still not many tourists around.
99% of people wear masks indoor.
Beer is still cheap.

In all seriousness, the US away from big cities. The Deep South, Montana, New Mexico.

Small Town America, IMHO, well worth it and some cracking flight deals at the moment.

Little adventure to France.

Before Covid I’d planned to go on a father son adventure to the Airbus factory in Toulouse.

Just a quick weekend adventure, cheap hotel, do the factory tour and the space museum then go home.

Of course as soon as the missus got wind of it, she had to come and it turn into a massive logistical nightmare, adding Disneyland and Paris to the mix.

Don’t get me wrong, we’re having a great time, but it’s all a bit of a faff. And of course because there are two females involved now, we have to bring 4 giant suitcases full of **** knows what.

Anyway…..

Are you using a phone or a camera to take those photos?

In Istanbul. Guy showed us to our room and said “from the balcony you have a view of the Bospherus” There it is, just over to the left.
