Things you know about a squaddie that you don't realise you know

Both my father and myself are ex Army. I went to fill his car up with petrol as he couldn’t drive at the time and he gave me his card. He went to tell me his PIN number and I said 4 numbers. He wondered how I knew it was the last 4 of his Service Number and I said it was a lucky guess.

I use “invalid” as my password. When I forget it or get it wrong the machine reminds me.

Calculating Engines are fecking clever.
don't use Pen15 as your password.

it's embarrassing when the machine tells you your password is too short. So I'm told. I wouldn't know.

I recall some time ago a company developing an "active keypad" so every time you inserted your bank card you got the numbers on the pad in a different place. The idea being if some scrote was looking over your shoulder, then took your card, they would not have your pin number by noting the location of the buttons.
We have them on some secure systems , been the same for 4 years 4 digits . Have a guess ?

Did you keep it ? In good nick ? They're worth a fortune now .
I'm starting a crowd fund to mine old landfill sites to look for them .
We're also going to survey lakes , canals , fishing ponds and old quarries for Mk1 Escorts .
No I don't still have it or my mk1 . But if I did still own both of them the value of all choppers and mk1s would be fek all, Like every other own of my so called investment buys .
Is it just me ? if you have to buy something you have to pay though the nose to sell it you have to give it away..

Beats me how anyone struggles with passwords & remembering them. Keep it simple. Majority of sites ask for the usual mixture of caps, symbols etc. I've used the same password for years....cap first letter, there are two digits at the end of the key word followed by the @ symbol.......then following that for each site i use i have a simple 3 letter capitlised abbreviation to ID each place....eg. AMZ.....simples.....
Cor, just like my post #29..............

Great minds etc.

1. If you know their regimental number, you know their self-selected PIN for just about anything.

...what else am I bid?
I was guard commander at SEE, and a day guard left her phone. I asked who own Ed it and was given her name. Looked at the guard list and saw her number.
Last four unlocked the phone.
Changed the language to Russian..

She also admitted she used her last four as pin number. In the same purse as HER MOD 90

From a famous internet quote site:

> For all of you reporting a score more than 100 as you iq lol @ you. How can you possibly score more than 100%? I'm very happy with my score of 89.

4PM Thursday arvo over this side of the world. Boss is gone and I've got the dept to myself. Kicking back with a cuppa after the ridiculous week I've had so far.

Shouldn't have said that out loud though, it's Friday tomorrow. Just when you're dreaming of the weekend, the Emperor pounces and unleashes his minions upon the world.

I've encountered control of entry pads like that in the FCO and on one MOD site. I think they're a really great idea.
