Edwin Starr. He died a while back. His wildly inaccurate song "War - what is it good for? - Absolutely nothing" was a chart success. Of course it should have been "War - what is it good for? Feckin huge profits"

Edwin Starr died in Nottingham, well Chilwell. I thought it would have been Detroit or something, but Chilwell it was. I didnt know this until today. Yesterday I was oblivious to this fact.

I was struck by a revelation that this was a totally useless fact, interesting in a vague way, but once known, cannot be forgotten.

So what is it that you didnt know yesterday that you know today that is not that important to know?

I expect this thread to be put in the Hole within 3 to 5 working days.

I didn't know that my bag of black socks hadn't come with me to the new house. After going through every bag I do now.

Also Pablo Picasso's dad gave up drawing after a young PP did such a lifelike drawing of a bird that he could never reach that standard.

I broke my ribs the other day. (None violence or alcohol) apparently not breathing with the full range of your lungs can cause pneumonia.

Tell you what you didn't know. I'm 41 today. Another year closer to my cold and lonely grave. Ho hum.

What about "hacherpachern", then? It's a Lower Saxony "Plattdeutsch" word that corresponds to "hecheln". I heard of it (and had it explained to me) yonks ago, but I've never had a chance to use it.

I did know (but had since forgotten) that he'd lived in Nottingham.

Other sources say that it was at his home in Bramcote that he died.

According to NEP he lived in Chilwell and owned a house in Bramcote so it could be either.

Personally I have always translated that as "breathing out your hoop" . :)

To be mesocephalic means to have a "medium sized head". Although to be fair, I knew that yesterday too.

That the fit new older woman in Hollyoaks was that bird from Krull.

Also, she's done a bit of soft core porn. I suppose that is worth knowing.

Fuçk off are you three years younger than me. The barmaid in the pub still asks "when is your Dad coming back for the Dog?"
