I roll my own. If I was domiciled in Canada would I have to print a warning on each paper prior to use?
Morning @Ruckerwocman,Is this from "The Onion", joke newspaper from Madison, WI which has humorous headlines and improbable news stories that one can't take seriously? I don't smoke anymore, so my health is no longer at risk, but I wonder about Canada's draconian new mandate that the tobacco warning should be printed on every damn last one of those fags in each and every pack or box just to make sure the kids know that smoking is baaddd for little Pierre and Yvette and don't you do it. (Or all cops will be after you, as the MacKenzie Brothers said.) That's just asinine. The Nanny State has gone rogue! What the hell is Justin up to?

It's been reported in the National Post, and the Toronto Sun as well.Morning @Ruckerwocman,
Not 'The Onion' but it might as well be, it's from a local 'comic'.
Re: "...Canada's draconian mandate...".I read a few days ago they're considering banning smoking in pub gardens, amonst other 'sacred places in Blighty.
The kiddies all vape now, and the oldies get em tax-free on the reserve. It's currently a proposal from the Ministry of Health, not an actual draft regulation or law. They started a public consultation process on proposed tobacco regulations a couple of days ago, and this is one of the proposals along with a number of others relating to packaging. I have no idea if this is a serious proposal or if it will get dropped after the consultation process.
A Sherman tank known as "Holy Roller" has been returned to Victoria Park in the middle of London Ontario after having spent nearly a year being restored to deal with the ravages of time and weather.
Standing tall again: WW II tank monument in London, Ont., emerges from makeover
The tank is one of only two Canadian Shermans to survive from the D Day landings all the way to the end of the war in Europe.
Here's a photo of the tank coming out of the repair shop.

What other packaging changes can the tobacco companies do? Right now the health warning takes up over 75% of the front of the packet, the terms "light", "extra light", and "ultra light" have been banned, plain packaging has been introduced so that every packet has no logo or identifiable trademark, all cigarettes have had the company's name removed from the actual cigarette. Where it would once say "Player's", "Export", or any other name, each cigarette is now a plain white tube. It's currently a proposal from the Ministry of Health, not an actual draft regulation or law. It would not be out of the question for the government to have proposed this without seriously supporting it. Including it in the consultation package would placate anti-smoking groups ("at least we tried") and be used as a bargaining chip with the tobacco companies ("we'll drop this proposal after the consultation if you don't make too much fuss over the other packaging changes").

Not all tobacco product packaging is currently subject to labelling requirements, including packages for products intended for use with devices, those devices and their parts, water pipe tobacco, blunt wraps, as well as those for any novel tobacco product that may be introduced into the market in the future.
Canada is not yet fully compliant with its tobacco labelling obligations under the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC), as not all tobacco product packaging is currently subject to labelling requirements
New Trivia Questions?War has been averted as Canada and Denmark agree to divide Hans Island between them. The border will follow a geologic feature which runs more or less down the centre of the island.

When is the fence and border post going up? I see Canada managed to get the beach area. Here's Hans Island in all its glory, and half of it is ours. That's Ellesmere Island in the background.

Thoughts and prayers to them. Never mind.To the surprise of probably no one, the owners of the Ambassador Bridge which connects Windsor and Detroit have let their application to build a second span beside the first one expire.
Ambassador Bridge owner has no immediate plans to reapply for permit for 2nd span
As their proposal only arose during their fight to prevent the government of Canada building a new bridge and appeared to be just a tactic to try to defeat the competing bridge, I suspect that many people were doubtful about the seriousness of the plan.
The bridge, built in 1929, is privately owned and is by far the biggest border crossing between the two countries, accounting for 25 per cent of all trade between the two countries.
A new bridge, the Gordie Howe bridge, is under construction to the south of Windsor and will be completed in 2024. This is owned by the Government of Canada.
As it offers more direct access to the main highway through southern Ontario, the 401 it will probably siphon off much of the traffic that currently goes to the Ambassador Bridge. After that it's a good question as to how long the Ambassador bridge will last before it falls down due to lack of maintenance.
