four Army soldiers charged with killing three detainees they captured in raids near Samarra told investigators their ROE were to kill "all military-age males." They said commanders authorized the rules for a special mission and initially cleared them of wrongdoing, according to the AP.
Very interesting RoE.

Not in this the FINAL BATTLE, where the gentiles shall side with the Tribe of David to herald the END OF DAYS and the SECOND COMING by their valiant deeds.
Oooh, think Armagheddon out of here with that one ;-)

As for the original thread - think the lack of discretion, intregity and discipline plus a few more core values, LOAC, etc. mean that this is murder, pure and simple. Sad thing is that in reading the article I wasn't suprised by it. The problem is that it may, as defendants claim, be institutuional.

The buck stops along the chain of command but the accountability is the property of the person who fires and those whoseek to cover their tracks and support them at any stage of the act.

If you have to hide what you've done it probably isn't a right thing to be doing - first law of judging actions.

ps. This doesn't apply when arranging surprise parties for the wife :)
