The worst berets you have ever seen(pics appreciated)?

. The perks of being in the RAF reserves included better training, less bullshit, and being treated more like an adult.
And the total inability to spend one night outdoors, reassemble any weapon within 2 hours including use of a hammer and a hacksaw and can only complete a 5 miler if a coach is laid on.

None of which probably affects their ability to competently and effectively do whatever specialised task it is that they have been employed by the RAFVR to undertake.

OMFG.
And the cap badge seems to be diffy the crown as well.
That makes it easier for the, now lighter weight, cap badge to travel towards the left ear.

RAF It can take 30 ORs to send 1 officer to fight miles away.
Army 1 officer is needed to get 30 men to fight close up.
Just saying

I’m in a general service Sqn of the RAuxAF - the only rockapes we have are a couple of the Perm Staff. There is a good mix of various trades - Int, Ops, ground techs, MT, PTI’s (quite a few) and chefs. The latter are always in demand - quite often by other branches of the reserves.

I can’t compare to the Army Reserves but it is a very grown up organisation - perhaps a bit too soft and fluffy to my ex-pongo eyes but they are very aware that if people are not enjoying it then they can just walk away.
Be interested to know which Sqn. Care to share?

And yet without infantry you can do nothing, absolutely nothing at all.
