Raid on Chalabi home sparks anger

The Iraqi Governing Council is due to meet on Friday to discuss its response to a raid on the home of one of its most prominent members, Ahmed Chalabi.
The meeting comes a day after Iraqi police, backed by US troops, searched his residence and party offices, removing computers and documents.

At least one member of the US-appointed council has threatened to resign over the issue.

Mr Chalabi was once close to the US but has become increasingly distanced.

He said Thursday's raid was an attempt by the Americans to discredit him.
About time, now bang the bastard up. I believe Jordan may have a vacancy.

This "Politicain"(sic) , is one of the prime reasons we ended up in Iraq. While the Cousins are at it, raiding his residence, cutting off his money etc, perhaps they'd also like to look at where the remnants of his "Iraqi National Army" are currently?

More importantly, just what they've been doing lately to keep themselves occupied?
I hate to say this but I believe the US has a vision and if you are against it then you are viewed as a non-desirable. They(GB and TBliar) must allow the Iraqis to determine their own fate, be it for good or bad. To invade and then act as nearly bad as old Madas, well it will lead to more lives being lost
