No it isn't: Bohan and Temperley were tried for murder in NI in 1976, IIRC, and were lucky to get away with it. The reality is that we're all subject to the law and wearing a sandy beret doesn't provide you with a get-out-of-jail-free card these days.

But we should wait to see some details of the alleged offence before commenting on it, IMO.
