This auction is for a copy of the book “World at War” which is a short book about the making of the famous eponymous series, narrated by Laurence Olivier. This proved to be one of the most entered book competitions of the year.

One of the prize winners has asked that the book be auctioned for H4H, so this is that auction. It's a great donation, and a would make a great Christmas present for someone. I'm hoping that Auld_Yin will post a linky thingy to a picture of the book....

The lot includes postage to UK or BFPO address.

    The auction will run until
Friday, 14th December at 1600 hours (UK Time)

    All proceeds to Holidays4Heroes.
By bidding or taking part in the auctions in any way, you agree to abide by the Auction Rules.

Apologies for the delay in putting in the links and pic. Here we go!

The review for this great week book can be found here: The World at War

Quite a few people said that they would really liked to have won this book, if you did not then here is a chance to own a copy and put something towards a good (great) cause.
  5. I'll increase my bid to a Commodore (£15).

Good job we're multilingual here on ARRSe!

    Otherwise we'd be saying

    'Sorry, nicht compris'

which my mother actually said to a German Person when we were domiciled in Wassenberg!

  11. I'll have to have a fink abaht this mate.

Paradoxically it is (sort of) mine anyway, I won it off Auld Yin and donated it because of the shame of winning his contest twice on the bounce.

Doesn't seem to work the same way with my sodding lotto numbers mind.

I hadn't realised it was yours originally. Enjoy it!
