After much deliberation, I have decided to re-enlist at the age of 30. I left the Infantry back in 2012, since then I've got married, had three kids and brought a house. Although all the sentimental accomplishments have been ticked off the box I'm still deeply unfulfilled. Battalion life became shite (Inf) but I actually miss the lifestyle, I don't know if it was the camaraderie, the Phys or weapons but civvie street seems dull. Perhaps I'm not looking in the right places but with only a level 2 in English and maths to my name (thanks ITC) my prospects are diminshing.
I've nailed it down to two choices, Royal engineers: Combat specialist roles and Royal armoured corps: Light/armoured cavalry.
Could anyone offer any advice or suggestions?
