Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I apologise if this has been asked before. I have received paperwork regarding the VENG and I have to say it looks good. I am concerned however about my pension date. On this engagement can I still leave at 22 years with full pension and lump sum or do I have to wait until the 24 year point ?

  2. Also do I loose my entitlement to PVR. I am currently on the NOTENG.

  3. Once on the v system you can serve 24 years, the only stipulation is that to get out during this period you must sign off 12 months before termination.IE, sign up to it because if you want it its there, and if you get to your 21st year and decide you cant face anathor 3 years in green skin then sign off and you will be out at 22 years, with the same pension as you would have had anyway.........SIMPLE!
BY THE WAY , CONCIDER THIS , YOUR PENSION INCREASES BY ABOUT 5% EACH YEAR AFTER THE 22 POINT , MMMMMMM LOADSA CASH FOR ONLY 2 YEARS MORE! :D
